The Best Charlotte Market Has Secrets: Upgrading Exclusive Spaces!

This place in Plaza Midwood (Charlotte, NC) has the coziest place to drink and shop simultaneously, inspiring you to upgrade your space.

Hey, I’m happy y’all came back.

Celebrating the next chapter in Charlotte, spending time at a well-loved community market was well-needed.

Who knew that the laid-back vibe of Sip City is a place to add inspiration for my next place in Charlotte? Let’s start with the obvious place to get drinks for happy hour.

Spice Up Your Wine Cabinet

Töst Rosé sparkling drink

The Töst non-alcoholic sparkling drink is a MUST for me, specifically the Rosé. The drink is soooo fragrant, infused with white tea, ginger, and elderberry.

This is the perfect drink year-round, by itself during the warmer months and mixed with cranberry juice during the cooler months.

A Fine-Tuned Ambiance

A record player, jars of incense, and a vinyl collection collectively sit on the table.

The fact that Sip City has a record player that you actually change the vinyl. Now, that is mind-blowing. Plus they have records covering genres from R&B and rock.

Additionally, I love the arrangement where you store your favorite items that set the mood: incense, small candles, matches, candies, and so much more.

Set up a console table with your record player, a cute container to store your vinyl, and accessories that bring you joy.

Did I not mention that secondhand vinyl shopping is sustainable, saving the good music? I’ll add those items to my Christmas/birthday wishlist.

Supporting the Local Art of Charlotte

I love that I get to look at pretty paintings made locally and NOT mass-produced. Frankly, when I tell you it is an amazing experience walking through and taking pictures.

Make your space a camera-ready museum by adding art from actual artists. Create a photo gallery or even as a centerpiece.

Not ready to invest? here are PLENTY of tutorials to make the coolest paintings. Plus, get the whole gang to paint with you as a sip-and-paint event.

A little sneak peek into what I wore to happy hour

desi wears an all white outfit at Sip City in Charlotte
Top: fast fashion; Bottoms: Shosh (ThredUp); Shoes: Crocs; Bag: Dooney and Bourke

This outfit was perfect from getting my classroom together to happy hour. This all-white “blank canvas” with pops of color became an effortless outfit when I ran out of outfit ideas.

Furthermore, when it gets complicated picking out an outfit, I recommend this combo because it is put together even if it seems unintentional.

Above all, school starts soon and I cannot wait to embark on my educational journey. In addition, I get to speak with y’all through fashion and lifestyle bridged together.

I can’t wait to grow this blog with y’all because you deserve inspiration to live your best life.

Let’s meet again in the next blog. Get up to date with our last post.
