Small Businesses in Charlotte + Local You Need to Know Better Than Amazon

Small Businesses you’ll see on Front Porch Sundays and other local markets.

I’m glad you’re back. Let’s gossip.

For those personally victimized by Amazon 🙋🏾‍♀️, here are 7 must-visit small businesses for every Charlottean that reads this post (if you’re not in Charlotte, take notes as well).

Out-of-state skincare business: Esteli

Your happiest skin starts at Esteli (@estelibody). The Virginia-based skincare business prioritizes healthy skin with toxin-free botanicals.

I loved their variety of skin products: body oils, serums, face masks, and exfoliators. Two of the products that stood out to me are their face mist and the perfume.

Start with the $10 Skincare Sample Set with 4 must-have products: the Flora Polish Vitamin C Face Mask, Planta Bluff Exfoliating Grains, Oro Rosa Supercriticals Serum, and the Verano Body Oil.

My personal favorite is their VERANO Eau de Parfum because who doesn’t want to smell good? To clarify, the scent profile of the perfume is a little outside of my scent profile (gourmands), but the earthy base with citrusy notes impressed me. Soon, this is a perfect scent addition to the places I plan to travel.

Everyone needs to try ROSA JAMAICA Face Mist. Indeed, when I tried the product in Hell’s Front Porch North Carolina weather, it left my face hydrated and cool ALL DAY. With rose, hibiscus, and aloe extracts, this product will keep your face hydrated throughout the day. If you have sensitive/dry skin, add this to your skincare rotation.

Wine Accessories Business: Luxe Pour

Wine Wednesdays get better with Luxe Pour (@shopluxepour). The Charlotte-based business creates luxurious and convenient ways to satisfy your wine cravings.

Connect with the brand by joining the #LuxeCrew and attending their upcoming curated events.

Their wine stoppers always catch my attention every time I visit their booth. I suggest purchasing The Merlot, especially for those wines with cork stoppers. To add color and flair for entertaining the Sauvignon stoppers steal the show.

My personal favorite is the Rose Wine Dispenser. Furthermore, this turns your pregames and house parties into elevated experiences, especially when you have people coming. Trust me.

The Carbernet Wine Opener is a must-have for the house and on the go. In contrast to a traditional wine opener, the Cabernet opens wines at the touch of two buttons. The best part: it’s rechargeable and opens 50+ bottles on a single charge.

Local Honey + Gifts Business: Honey & Hive

For all of my sweet tooth and bee lovers, Honey & Hive (@honeyandhive1) got you covered! The Charlotte family-owned business brings sustainability to creating honey, beeswax candles, and other gifts.

Connect with the brand by signing up for exclusive offers and connecting with local events.

If you need a sweet pick-me-up, their $1 honey sticks add sweetness to your day. They are great for sweetening drinks, dishes, and as a small sweet treat on its own!

What I like is their Beeswax Hand Salve. With the cooler months coming, this brings soothing, antibacterial, and moisturizing properties to beat the ashiness.

What’s NOT shown on their website that I had the pleasure of trying is their whipped honey. And y’all, it is SCRUMPTIOUS. I am not sure if they have it as a product. However, if it did happen we’re adding lavender, hot pepper, and caramel as the main base flavors.

In conclusion, Front Porch Sundays became my favorite event in Charlotte because it increased my love and support for thriving small business. Mark your calendars for the next market on October 6th at Atherton Mill.

Now comment on here, which one of your local favorites did I miss?
