Ditch the Dryness: 13 Proven Products for Happy, Healthy Skin

One product under $5 is the key to solving dry, sensitive skin.

Achieving clear skin ain’t that hard. Take notes of all you need for your face to look good without makeup.

Cleanse Your Skin

Right now the Innisfree Green Tea Hydrating Amino Acid Cleansing Foam is taking it for me.

I find it difficult to find good face cleansers that SWIPE the makeup and the dirt without stripping away my skin.

But let me tell you, that cleansing foam took off my makeup like it’s no tomorrow, leaving my face looking real healthy and bouncy.

The best part, no tingling.

You NEED a Toner

Nothing feels more soothing than a good toner. I have my top two that get the job done.

The Thayers Hydrating Milky Toner With Snow Mushroom and Hyaluronic Acid is everything a dry sensitive skin girlie needs for the cooler months.

Not only it cleans the pores, but it hydrates the face too.

Another one I love that I received for PR reasons, is the Good Molecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner.

This ain’t for everyone for sensitive skin, but for me, it got all the negativity outta them pores.

In the summer, I have combination skin because of the t-zone and the top of my cheeks. Now that is excellent for me.

However, when I use the product I have to use the next product.

Apply the Serum

As for me and my house, we love the hyaluronic acid serum.

The INKEY List Hyaluronic Acid Serum is literally $10 and the best $10 spent.

Nothing explains how beautiful it feels on the face, securing the moisture for the entire day.

I want to try the Good Molecules Highly Potent Hyaluronic Acid Serum as it runs for under $10 and so many people saw a difference in how awake their face looks like.

Now that I am 25+, it’s good that I go for anti-aging serums. Right now I’m going for the Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid + Collagen Activating Serum, TruSkin Longevity Bakuchiol Serum, or Good Molecules Super Peptide Serum.

If you use anti aging products, what would you recommend for dry, sensitive skin?

Let’s get to the good part.

Moisturize Your Skin

I am still on the hunt for a good moisturizer, the La Roche-Posay Lipikar AP+M Triple Repair Body Moisturizing Cream for Dry Skin is my go-to.

I just know after using a little bit of the product, it leaves your skin plump and glowy for days.

I get excited when I tell you the secret to good sensitive skin: Vaseline.

Here’s the catch: you need to apply minimally (no larger than a dime size) and that you’ll need a moisturizer/humectant.

That’s where I’ll go for Aquaphor or other healing ointments. And no joke, I prefer Aquaphor over Vaseline, but my wallet says otherwise.

Now don’t leave off one more important thing.

Put Some Sunscreen On

Not that concoction in your kitchen. Not the aloe vera leaf. Not no one-ingredient product that got a whole lot of promises and hype from TikTok celebs.

You need SPF.

I have three options for the perfect sunscreen for the Black girls (I went viral with one of them).

The first one is the Neutrogena Hydroboost Sunscreen. My only concern about this is that it burns on sensitive skin but not to the point where it’s red and bumpy.

My all-time favorite sunscreen is the Black Girl SPF 30 Sunscreen. This is a good recommendation for dry skin girlies because it gives you that glow, moisture, and sun protection.

The last one I’m gonna say that I’m liking it so far with the lightweight but gives me that soft skin feeling throughout. The Innisfree Daily UV Defense Invisible Sunscreen is goated.

When it’s summer and you get sweaty and greasy, Innisfree is perfect for my combo girlies because you get the moisture and sun protection, but it doesn’t leave you too greasy.

Next time you’re at the store trying to replace your skincare empties, try these products to ensure that your skin is clear, soft, plump, and glowy all year.
