The awkward way to wear a dress became one of my favorite outfit combos.
My style awakening came in 4th grade. I watched Disney shows, Wizards of Waverly Place, High School Musical, iykyk. I remember Disney Channel stars, Raven-Symoné, Selena Gomez, and Ashley Tisdale wore dresses over pants.
I thought that combo was tacky until…
Unexpected Birthday Surprise
Me and my Heiress Beverly Hills dress (exact item in white, similar piece) go hand in hand like 🤞🏽. It ended up as my alternative birthday outfit because my Marcella items didn’t come in time.
But because the red hot number had this asymmetrical shape, it was perfect on its own and maybe with a pair of pants.
Pairing the piece with jeans is perfect for hanging out with your people during the day. I also love how the ruffle train adds drama and dimension to the look with flair.
It also felt right to wear with one of my favorite scarves from TrunkShow to add more color to the look. I love how the red flowers pop out from the scarf.
When going back to the workforce, I plan to wear a fitted t-shirt under this. I imagine how a printed long-sleeved knit shirt eats when it’s layered.
Read on to how to make the dress + pant combo chic like this.
If you didn’t get it the first time hear me out.
Make the Dress + Pant Combo THAT Girl
- The combo looks better if you wear wider-leg straight or flare-style jeans.
- Make the top part is SNATCHED so it flows beautifully on the bottom.
- Since you have loose silhouettes going on, cinch up one side so that it shows the pant silhouette beautifully.
